These Terms govern your use of PropMap (the “Service”), operated by 1010 Collective (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
PropMap lets you view South African cadastral boundaries, extents and Surveyor-General codes on a map, search for properties, make selections, measure, and export reports and data. The underlying cadastral data is public information sourced from the Chief Surveyor-General (DALRRD).
A free account is required to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old (or have authority to act for a business).
You agree not to misuse the Service, including not to: bulk-scrape, resell or redistribute the data other than as the Service intends; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service; or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Cadastral and imagery data is provided “as is”, sourced from third parties including the Chief Surveyor-General and map-imagery providers. It may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate, and boundaries shown are indicative. PropMap is an information tool and is not a substitute for a registered land survey, legal advice, or professional due diligence. Always verify on site and confirm boundaries with a qualified land surveyor before relying on them for any transaction or decision.
The Service, including its software, design and the PropMap name and marks, belongs to us or our licensors. Public cadastral data remains the property of its source authorities. You retain ownership of the content you create (such as saved properties and branding).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on the data. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the “last updated” date; continued use means you accept the changes.
